Delete your MssyNotes account

You can delete your account and everything in it at any time, for free. If you just want a break, you can deactivate instead: nothing is deleted and you can come back by signing in.

In the app (iPhone, iPad or app.mssynotes.com)

1. Open MssyNotes and sign in.
2. Pinch out (or zoom out) to see all your boards.
3. Tap the Settings (gear) button at the top right.
4. Tap Deactivate or delete account.
5. Tap Delete account and all my data and confirm.

By email

If you can't get into the app, email privacy@mssynotes.com from the email address you sign in with, with "Delete my account" in the subject. We'll confirm it's you and delete the account within one month (usually much sooner).

What gets deleted

• Straight away: your boards, photos, files and voice notes, your name, email address and sign-in, and the copy of your boards on that device.
• Boards you share: boards you own are deleted for everyone. Boards in a team pass to the team owner. Things you added to other people's boards stay on those boards but are no longer linked to you.
• Backups: encrypted backup copies expire within 7 days.
• What we must keep: if you paid on the web, payment records (not linked to your account) for six years for UK tax law; records of reports about illegal content for as long as the law requires.

Paid plans

Deleting your account cancels a plan bought on the web. If you pay through the App Store, cancel in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad, as Apple handles those payments.
